The forums were a meeting point for the Roman citizens where they discussed politics, shopped in the markets or they could pray to the Gods in their respective temples. There are currently three Forums dedicated to Julius Caesar, Augustus and Emperor Trajan. Also near the Forum is the Palatine Hill, considered the most important hill of the Seven Roman hills as it was the birth place of Rome with historical ruins that date back to 1000 BC. Today it’s a beautiful park which offers a spectacular panoramic view of the remains of the ancient city and the current modern city.
